Business Central: The AI-driven finance system

AI in Finance: What can Business Central do for your finance team?

Still building month end in spreadsheets? See what an AI-ready finance system looks like.

Business Central now includes Copilot and AI agents as standard. Finance teams can automate work that used to take days. In this webinar, Kick will show how Business Central handles reporting, invoice processing and month end in a live system. You will also see how it connects to the rest of Microsoft 365.

Topics we'll cover include

  • Advanced insights into your finance. See how Business Central gives you live figures without exporting to Excel. We will show financial reports, account schedules and dimension analysis that let you drill from a total down to the source document. We will also show how Copilot can summarise trends and answer questions about your data in plain English.
  • Management accounts automation. Month end is often the most manual part of the finance calendar. We will show how recurring journals, allocations, accrual and deferral templates, and scheduled financial reports cut the effort involved. Your management pack can then be ready sooner and with fewer manual adjustments.
  • Agentic invoice capture. Supplier invoices can arrive by email and be read automatically. Business Central's Payables Agent pulls out the invoice details, matches them to vendors and drafts the purchase invoice for review. You keep control of approval, but no one has to retype the invoice.
  • Custom agents. Microsoft now lets you build agents for your own processes, not just the ones that come out of the box. We will show what a custom agent looks like in Business Central and the kinds of tasks it can take on. We will also cover where agents work well and where a person should stay in the loop.
  • Power Platform, Copilot and the wider Microsoft ecosystem. Business Central sits inside Microsoft 365, so your data is available in Outlook, Teams and Excel. We will show Power BI dashboards, approval flows built in Power Automate and simple Power Apps built on top of Business Central data. This gives your team one connected set of tools rather than separate systems.
